The total initial investment in your medical clinic franchise is estimated to be between $1,227,774 and $1,778,851 which includes the franchise fee of $60,000. An FDD is a critical legal document that provides potential franchisees with comprehensive information about a franchise opportunity. It contains 23 specific sections, known as "items," which cover everything from the franchise's history, fees, and financial performance to the franchisor's and franchisee's legal obligations. The FDD is designed to ensure transparency, helping prospective franchisees make informed decisions by detailing the risks, benefits, and requirements of owning and operating a franchise.
Before opening your urgent care franchise, you will complete a half-week training program at our headquarters and receive assistance at your location during your grand opening. You’ll also receive (among other things) a detailed operating manual, the rights to use our trademarks, the license to utilize the American Family Care operating model, and access to vendor resources at nationally negotiated rates.
No, you don’t necessarily need experience in medical care. We look for franchisees who have business management and sales skills and a desire to make a difference in people’s lives. However, physicians may also consider American Family Care a great business opportunity.
The initial franchise fee is $60,000. This fee funds pre-opening support of your operation, including your initial headquarters-based training and on-site assistance.
The initial term of your AFC franchise agreement is 10 years, with four optional subsequent 5-year renewal terms.
Franchisees will be required to pay a 6% royalty based on revenue. The royalty helps fund the continued development of new products and system upgrades. To see a complete listing of our ongoing fees, request a copy of our FDD.
After the initial grand opening, franchisees will be required to spend at least $2,000 per month in their local market. The funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the American Family Care brand and to pay for the creative costs of developing local franchise marketing materials.
Additionally, 1% of revenue will be contributed to the marketing fund, which will go toward general marketing activities and resources that benefit all franchise locations nationally.
No direct financing is available through American Family Care, but we welcome franchisees to seek out third-party financing such as SBA loans.
American Family Care will provide a multi-day detailed training session prior to the time of your opening, plus on-site assistance as you initiate operations. There is no additional charge for this training service, but you must pay any travel and living expenses while attending the training at our offices. See our training page for additional details.
We will continue to provide ongoing support services to you by phone, email, and periodic on-site visits to your location. We will also provide you with access to our online support website. Plus, we regularly update our operations manual with new procedures and other information designed to improve operations for all franchisees. Support and training are available for your operations, medical, marketing, and other personnel.
