AFC TELECARE, OUR TELEMEDICINE SOLUTION PROVIDE HEALTHCARE REMOTELY FOR PREVENTATIVE SERVICES
The current coronavirus crisis is proving the power of the American Family Care franchise model. American Family Care (AFC), the nation’s leading provider of urgent care and accessible primary care, has taken bold steps in its approach to the pandemic with the launch of several new tools that will not only benefit patients, but also hundreds of its franchisees.
OUR TELEMEDICINE PORTAL
TeleCare is now operational, systemwide. This telemedicine portal allows medical providers in the American Family Care network of nationwide healthcare clinics to provide virtual visits to patients, including assessment/screening of COVID-19 symptoms or any other healthcare problems, such as acute illnesses and trauma, help managing chronic illness and prescription medication as needed all from the safety of their home.
HOW AFC TELECARE WORKS:
- Patients go to afcurgentcare.com/TeleCare and provide requested information.
- The AFC TeleCare staff will then contact the patient to complete registration.
- Shortly thereafter, one of our highly qualified providers will contact your patient to conduct their evaluation and provide or arrange the healthcare services indicated. If the provider determines a face-to-face visit is necessary, they will work to connect the patient with the appropriate location.
- In case of the need for Coronavirus COVID-19 screening, a TeleCare Provider can screen you for possible coronavirus infection and direct you to the nearest AFC location or other healthcare entity based on the results of their evaluation.
